BRIANNA R. ALEXANDER, MPA

Brianna Alexander is a philanthropist, humanitarian, and scholar who has dedicated her life to service, and the enhancement of communities. Her motto is that “it’s all about the impact”, and believes that it is our responsibility to empower, inspire, and uplift those in need.
 
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Brianna has used her life experiences as the groundwork for her career in community empowerment. Brianna is a first generation college graduate and a proud alumna of Howard University, where she received her B.A in Political Science and Community Development. She received a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
 

Brianna is greatly involved in the community, and has previously worked with the City of Detroit, Ford Motor Company, Vital Voices Global Partnership, Lutheran Services of Georgia and Be The Match operated by the National Marrow Donor Program.

She is currently the Sr. Community Engagement Manager at United Way of Greater Atlanta where she plans and facilitates large-scale community projects for corporations, families, and individuals. Since beginning her current role in 2015, Brianna has worked with over 20,000 volunteers to complete over 60,000 hours of service and impact in the Greater Atlanta Community. This equates to over $1.5 Million in volunteer time.

Brianna is also the co-founder of a nonprofit organization, Detroit Speaks, which focuses on inspiring school-aged students in Metropolitan-Detroit to increase their social awareness and responsibility, as well as community involvement. She enjoys traveling, strengthening her relationship with God, and spending time with friends and family.
