DETROIT SPEAKS, INC.

Brianna is the co-founder of Detroit Speaks, Inc. This 501c3 inspires school-aged students in Metropolitan-Detroit to increase their social awareness and responsibility, as well as community involvement. Detroit Speaks acknowledges the accomplishments of young Detroiters and provides youth with the resources to excel in their personal endeavors.

GIRLS GOING GLOBAL

Girls Going Global (GGG) is a non profit organization seeking to address the disparity of girls of color in international education and today’s field of travel and international affairs. GGG provides global leadership programming to girls from underrepresented communities. Its mission is to empower girls of color through travel and cultural exchange to become creators and leaders of the world. Brianna serves on the Leadership Team for this organization.

COLLEGE HAS ITS LIFE LESSONS (CHILL)

Brianna serves on the Board of Directors of College Has Its Life Lessons, founded at Howard University. C.H.I.L.L passionately focuses on increasing the likelihood of students’ success through interactive learning experiences, financial support, and social preparedness.

SHOEBOX PROJECT

The Shoebox Project annual campaign lead by United Way of Greater Atlanta that provides thousands of decorated shoeboxes filled with toiletries to underserved men, women and children throughout Greater Atlanta.

80,000+ Shoeboxes Distributed in 2016 - 2019

 

Be The Match

Brianna serves as an ambassador for Be The Match operated by the National Marrow Donor Program. For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Brianna encourages individuals to join the Marrow Donor Registry to potentially save the lives of individuals in need. 

 

 

 Great Shape! Inc.

Great Shape! Inc.’s SuperKids Literacy Project is an educational, humanitarian project in Jamaica. This organization provide resources, curriculum, volunteers, and training in rural areas where the literacy rate is just about 40%. SuperKids volunteers focus on literacy, computers, art, music, and sports for thousands of children.

 
 

PROJECT OVERCOAT

Project Overcoat provides thousands of individuals throughout Greater Atlanta with new and gently used coats and blankets for men, women and children. United Way partnered with Kroger, FedEx and Fox5 to drive awareness and volunteers to help provide new and gently used coats and blankets to men, women and children in need during the winter months.

Number of Coats Distributed (2016): 11,000+

 

Silence The Growl

Silence The Growl is a meal funding program created to fill the empty stomachs of children in United Way of Greater Atlanta’s  13-county region. United Way created the Silence the Growl campaign to raise funds/meals for partner agencies within our community who are working tirelessly to combat childhood summer hunger.

Number of Meals Provided: 45,000+

L.I.N.C (Lead. Impact. Network. Change)  delivers unique volunteer events that elevate your community, connections and social calendar. Brianna manages and executes volunteer projects and days of impact  for individuals ages 30 and under, who dedicate their time to engage the next generation of leaders in Greater Atlanta by cultivating and growing the spirit of philanthropy, community advocacy, volunteerism and leadership.
